VinePine began with a visit from a friend who introduced me to the craft of creating cheese boards—an art form that instantly captured my attention. I’ve always been drawn to designing pieces that are both functional and visually striking, and that moment sparked the beginning of what VinePine is today. He shared his techniques, encouraged me to explore my own creativity, and inspired me to build on the craft in my own way.
In December 2015, I hosted a Wine Spectator–style wine tasting and displayed a few platters and boards I had made, styled with cheese, grapes, crackers, and other pairings. Guests were captivated. Some asked for custom pieces designed to pair with a specific bottle of wine, while others simply wanted me to create something I felt they would love. From that day forward, I knew I wanted to keep making one-of-a-kind serving boards that bring people together.
Every VinePine board is handcrafted from reclaimed wood crates once used by vineyards for wine shipments—giving each piece its own natural character, color, and grain. Each “art piece” is meticulously framed in select domestic or exotic hardwoods, creating a finished look that feels elevated, timeless, and built to last.
As the sole maker behind VinePine, I’m dedicated to using only high-quality, carefully selected woods. Your safety and health are always a priority, which is why I finish every board using food-safe sealants.
I look forward to helping you entertain with a unique, functional piece of art—one that serves as an icebreaker, a conversation starter, and a centerpiece worth gathering around.
